Humans! A word we are quite familiar with. They are a type that live their lives in this

place called the world and they come with various abilities that sharpen their already unique personalities and they shine in their own light as they perceive their identities which also makes each one of them different. And I believe that they are the most powerful with all their differences combined. Which is why, the 2nd of August 2019 remains an unforgettable day to the Rotaract Club of ICBT! For a young group of people of such compelling differences took positions for the board of directors for the years 2019/2020, led by the newly elected President, Rtr. Jehaad Kitchilan.

The 2nd installation which marks the beginning of a new chapter of the Rotaract journey of the club of ICBT commenced with the lighting of the traditional oil lamp. And it sure did serve as a sign of igniting the fires in the hearts of the members to discover and grow their abilities, to break out of their boxes and exercise the degree of care in fulfilling their responsibilities and at the same time enabling them to drive change and create an impact on the lives of people and systems of the society.

The house was then called to order as the dignitaries took their seats at the head table. The ceremony was then followed by the usual proceedings of tradition. Out of which, everyone was indulged in a few seconds of time reminiscing on the events, projects and moments of fellowship of the year before, creating the perfect atmosphere to convey the message of the outgoing president Rtr. Shameen Samarawickrema and the newly elected President Rtr.Jehaad Kitchilan.

The introduction of the board became the highlight of the day as each board member's personality was put into words n fitted into a rap, recited live by the president himself. "I haven’t seen anything of such in the past years of all the installations I've been to" were the words of DRR. Rtr. PP Krishan Balaji in his speech who also encouraged to carry such creativeness into the projects that will be done. Thus, it has been marked as one of the most creative installations yet.

And how can we forget the ones that touched our hearts with voices that echoed through the walls of the auditorium that night, singer, Lukshan Wickramasekara and the guitarist, Rtr. Sanjula Vidanagamage! Thank you for the good vibes.

The chief guest, President of the Rotary Club of Cinnamon Gardens, Rtn. PHF Arosha Jayasundera then opened our eyes into the depths of what rotary is and what rotary does and the night ended with heartfelt wishes from fellow rotaractors!

It was a memorable day indeed!
