The countless men and women who empty pits, garbage bins, manholes, sewers & sweep the streets provide a fundamental public service for our country, they are in the frontline in
working long hours amid Covid-19. This project was an initiative taken by the club for the 3rd year in a row to provide our society with awareness and to give back to the workers for their dedication to keep our country clean.
To draw attention to this neglected issue the Rotaractors of ICBT decided to have another project immense the fall of Christmas called as “Workforce Christmas Edition”. This project was chaired by Rtr. Shoaib Faleel and Rtr. Aveen Chalukya. Their job was to provide a meal to the workers for their passionate services, and it was conducted in two locations within Borella.
The main objective wasn’t just about distributing meals but also having the chance to understand their daily struggle of a simple life, and how we all can come together to make this world a better place. The 29th of December will be a day where the club will be devoted to in the future. We may have not completed the best of deeds, however it was enough to make a few people smile.
